This is me standing in front of a brick wall.

This is me standing in front of a brick wall.

I’m a lawyer at Ben Carter Law, PLLC in Louisville, Kentucky. There, I represent homeowners and tenants facing foreclosure or eviction, consumers that have been abused by unfair and deceptive acts and practices, and people who have been harmed by the negligence of others.

I did a podcast with my friend, Annie O'Connell on how to start a law firm

Before starting my own firm, I worked at the Legal Aid Society defending homeowners from foreclosure, as a Public Defender in the Republic of Palau, and as Judge Wingate’s first (and worst) law clerk. I studied English at Davidson College and law at UK.

I do what I'm supposed to do: exercise, go to church, and love UK athletics.

When I’m not doing that stuff, I’m probably Getting Things Done or listening to nerdy podcasts.

If you want me to come talk to your local bar (or bar association), political group, neighborhood association, or other group about any of the topics you read about here, just contact me or tweet me @notbencarter.
